2023-24 School Theme Verse
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25

"Flower Power Color Run" 2023 Jog A Thon
We are constantly floored by the generosity of the community and the beauty of God's provision. The totals shared here do not include about $2,000 that's been pledged but not yet received. We've blown our goal out of the water and your friendly competition has been fun to watch!
Elementary families, thank you for sharing so diligently and SHOWING UP big time to support your kiddos and their classes as they ran. What a FUN event!
A HUGE APPRECIATION TO THOSE WHO DONATED AND TO THE FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE FOR PUTTING TOGETHER ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL JOGATHON THIS YEAR! WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
If you have pictures to share, please email them to McKenzie Falotico.
Playground Updates Completed!
Thank you to those who have given to this significant project. You are making a difference to the future of NCCS!

Picture Retakes Oct. 20
For Retakes:
Once pictures have been delivered to families, and if they find they would like to come in for retake day, they need to bring in the old pictures, with a note on what needs to be fixed, so that we can get a better photograph for the student.
ASB Fall Treat Sale
Order a treat for your child today! All orders must be received by Oct. 10th at 4pm. Thank you for supporting High School ASB!
Peace, Love & Family Feud
Fellowship is a huge part of our culture and more opportunities for fellowship have been something requested by many in our community. As a result, a few years ago we started hosting a gala event and it’s been a lot of fun!
As a tribute to the school's 50th year, we are hosting a Peace, Love & Family Feud night! This 70s theme night is solely for the purpose of fellowship and community building for our parents, grandparents, supporters and staff.
The cost of a ticket covers dinner, entertainment and a wonderful venue for the evening. The NCCS Annual Gala event will be held on November 11th at the Willamette Valley Country Club in Canby. This is an adult only event and tickets are already available for purchase. Make sure you grab your ticket here and now as numbers are limited. We hope you'll come have a groovy time with us, man!
We also have a minimum of ticket sales we must reach a month before the event. If you’re planning on attending, please purchase your tickets as soon as possible so we know how many to expect, and if we should still hold this event.
Volunteer Opportunity for Peace, Love & Family Feud Event
We are in need of a few volunteers to help put on our Peace, Love & Family Feud event this year.
The expectation is that those volunteering would also purchase a ticket and attend, of course!
Here’s what we’re still needing done by volunteers:
One person recruiting and overseeing the 10 people who will decorate tables.
10 people each who will take on the full responsibility for decorating a table for the night- come up with a plan, purchase decorations, decorate the table, take everything down at the end of the night
2-3 people who will decorate the room (NCCS has a photobooth backdrop that can be used and there’s a budget for decorations that will be communicated with those who opt into this opportunity)
1 person to create the Family Feud game (there are lots of free templates available and we’ll work with you for the kinds of questions that should be asked.)
Contact McKenzie if you have any questions!
Chapel Speakers
We are looking for chapel speakers! If you or anyone you know would be interested in speaking to our elementary or secondary kids (or both!), please click the appropriate link below to see details and sign up.

Health Updates
Please remember to send your student to school with a water bottle and remind them that they should not be sharing water bottles with their peers. We're in the thick of "sick season" and need to do all that we can to help keep each other well. Thank you!
Pre-Arranged Absences
Parents and students are encouraged to keep absences to a minimum. Understandable reasons for absence from school would include, but are not limited to, student illnesses, death or illness in the family, or medical appointments.
In the event of a planned vacation or extended period of absence, parents must provide the office and teacher with a written notice for pre-arranged absences. The designated form to be used for such purposes should be received in the office no less than one (1) week prior to the first day of the planned absence. These forms are available in the office. These forms are not required for individual medical appointments, only for reoccurring appointments or an extended medical absence.
Thank you for encouraging your student to be at school!
Lost Items
We are asking parents to put their child(ren)'s names in articles of clothing, on water bottles, etc., to easily identify personal items brought to school. We have VERY limited space for a Lost and Found space, so we will not be holding on to items more than a week. We will donate any items to a charity at the end of each week, unless they are clearly marked with a student name and we can get it to the student on the same day.

Local Churches for Those Needing a Place of Worship for Their Family
Please make church attendance with your family a priority. It is an expectation that NCCS parents and students attend a Christian church. We hope our families are attending a Christian church and are involved in that community, in person. If you are looking for a home church, we encourage you to check out our list of local churches where we already have school families attend.
