Please remember - Friday is a normal school day. It is not a mufti day and school closes at 3pm as usual.
Term 4 starts Monday 9 October. Please be aware there will be a Teacher Only day on Monday 27 November. Please make care arrangements for your children as school will not be open to students that day.
Morning drive through drop off and afternoon pick up
In the afternoon please do not double park or leave your vehicle parked in front of the main school entrance. It is essential we have room for the school bus, the Chill Out van and any disabled permit holders. Student safety is our priority and the traffic situation is of real concern.
2023 Rehu Tai Festival of Oral Language
In week 5 Maise A, Year 6 and Joshua E-W, Year 8, competed in and won the Ardmore School Rehu Tai Festival of Oral Language competition with their traditional speeches. A week later they went on to compete in the Hunual Principals' Rehu Tai Festival of Oral Language competition at Maraetai Beach School. The boys competed against students from other E.C.C.S. (East Counties Country Schools) and made us proud. Well done boys.

2023 Tough Guy and Gal Challenge
Last Thursday forty seven year 3-8 children braced themselves against the cold wind of Pukekohe to participate in the inaugural Pukekohe Tough Guy and Gal Mud Challenge with one hundred and seventy seven other students from the Counties area. The students were in great spirits as they ran 1.5 km or 3 km through paddocks and mud while clambering over and under obstacles in their path. The Ardmore team had a tremendous attitude and team spirit. A great day was had by all. Thank you to the parents who transported gazebos and thanks also to Miss P for organising the event and training the team.
A few reminders
School starts at 9am. Please endeavour to have your tamariki here on time. The start of the day contains very important routines to help tamariki settle for a day of learning.
The Ministry of Education track attendance and we are alarmed at the number of Ardmore children arriving late regularly every morning.
Please keep sick children at home. If your child has a vomiting bug we ask that you keep them home for 48 hours after their last vomit.
We want to keep everyone safe.

The 2023 General Election will be held in October and we want every eligible New Zealander to enrol and vote.
Voting starts on Monday 2 October and finishes at 7pm on election day, Saturday 14 October.
We’d like your help to get as many New Zealanders as possible to have their say. Let’s work together to make that happen.
You can help by sharing information with your community about enrolling and voting in this year’s General Election.
On our website vote.nz you’ll find information and links to resources you can download or order to share in a variety of ways – on social media, on your website, in newsletters or direct communications, or as display materials at your workplace, marae, library, or community centre to help spread the word to your friends, whānau and community.
Resources are available in different languages, te reo Māori dialects, and alternate formats. We’ll continue adding new resources to share as the election approaches.
We value your support in helping us make information about enrolling and voting available to your community and encouraging their participation in the 2023 General Election.
