Stapleton Online Auction!
Stapleton will be hosting our 7th annual online auction! Last year's auction was a big success and we're hoping that this year we can do it again! We raised a little over $7,000 at our last auction!
This year the auction will be open Monday, January 22nd until Friday, January 26th! Bidding opens on Monday (1/22/24) at 8 AM and will close on Friday (1/26/24) at 8 PM.
We have a variety of items to bid on for all ages. Bidding is open to the entire community, so please spread the word! There will be a STAPLETON FAMILIES ONLY bidding section under the "Just For Kids" category. Those items will be clearly labeled and will be teacher experiences!
Check out all the generous donors!
January PTO Meeting!
Dr. Tremblay Came to Visit!
January's PTO Meeting Dr. Tremblay came and talk about his trip to Brazil this past summer! We provided some popular Brazilian mini bites and had child available for those who attended by Framingham High School NHS students.
Dr. Tremblay had a lot to take away from his recent trip to Brazil. He shared many stories, experiences/education he was able to take advantage of, and even a few Framingham Public staff bump in's that were not intentionally, including Mrs. Yuen while he was in Brazil! Another big take away from his trip was the importance of making everyone feel as though they belong!
A big Thank You to Dr. Tremblay for coming to spend the evening with the PTO for our January Meeting!
Mark your calendars to join our monthly PTO meetings!
February 14, 2024 Guess how much PTO loves Stapleton!

Let's talk about P.T.O.
Do you know what the P.T.O. is or does for Stapleton Elementary School?
P.T.O. stands for Parent Teacher Organization. The Stapleton P.T.O. is a non-profit group made up of parents, guardians, teachers, and staff members, who are dedicated to improving the school community and the educational experience of all the students at the Mary E. Stapleton School.Through our volunteering and fundraising efforts, we are able to hold school and community events, purchase needed supplies for all classrooms, provide enrichment to our students, teachers, staff members, families, and community, such as in school assemblies and field trips!
The P.T.O. has one meeting a month that everyone is invited to! At the meetings we discuss upcoming events and fundraisers. We recap on events that happened prior to our meetings and get an idea of how we can improve the event the next year for our students! Meetings are held to get feedback and advice from all!
Although there are "roles" on the P.T.O. Board we all work together! See below a descriptions of the roles and let us know if it's something you may be interested in for the 24/25 school year! At the end of the year we hold board elections and would love some new members/volunteers to join us! Each position on the board can have up to 2 members voted in!
President:
(Current PTO Presidents are Lauren McNeil and Leah Spagnuolo)
A SUPERSTAR ROLE WHO "GETS THINGS DONE!" Responsible for running and managing all aspects of the PTO and holding meetings.
Vice President:
(Current PTO Vice President is Nicki Atchison)
A crucial assistant to the PTO President. Handles tasks and assists with all things PTO.
Treasurer:
(Current PTO Treasurer is Erin Whynot)
Handles all banking and finances. Ensures books are kept up and the budget is in check!
Secretary:
(Current PTO Secretary is Stephanie Mauk)
Handles meeting and event recaps. Creating marketing for school events and fundraisers. Handles keep social media active.
You do not need to be a board member to help support Stapleton! Volunteers are so important to the PTO! We would love to see some new families and create lifelong friendships within Stapleton!
Stapleton Spirit Wear Store!
We opened up a Stapleton Spirit Wear online store in November to give families and staff opportunity to get some Stapleton swag! We're looking for some feedback for products you would be interested in!
We were working with Edge Team Sports for this online store. Our representative was a Stapleton alumni who helped put the store together! The online store will be opened for a certain amount of time (typically 2-3 weeks) after that the orders are processed and sent out within 2-3 weeks after.
We're hoping to open up another online store soon for any of those who missed/ weren't able to order during the last store opening!
