Camp Big Springs Teachers Needed
For: All Teachers
You have two more days to apply! After a two-year absence due Covid, Camp Big Springs, Provo City School District’s fifth grade camp, is returning this year and is looking for teachers.
Camp Big Springs is a week long (Monday – Friday) experience for fifth graders who are entering sixth grade. Camp takes place over four sessions in June and is located in South Fork Canyon (20 minutes from Provo). Teachers at camp spend the week in the great outdoors with an awesome group of kids, going on hikes, teaching outdoor skills, crafts, and STEM classes. It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for teachers and students that they won’t ever forget.
Apply now to join this close knit family of teachers and become the next generation of Camp Big Springs. We especially need teachers for the girls’ tents.
- Find out more on the Camp Big Springs website.
- Apply today through the job portal under Outdoor Ed.

Innovative Learning Bite-sized PD: YouTube Tip
For: All Employees
Today’s tip is a super-simple one, but it’s also really powerful. It’s always a bit nerve-wracking to share a video with students, families, colleagues, or employees since you can’t always anticipate what the ad or “watch next” content might be! So here’s your bite-sized PD for the week: Did you know that by adding a dash after the “T” in YouTube in a video link, you can eliminate ads and suggested videos that might not be appropriate? Then you can share that link in Canvas, via email, on your website, etc. That’s it! A simple tip to give you some peace of mind.
Give Yourself a Little Love
There is a value in patting yourself on the back. Positive affirmations are statements that can help brighten your outlook. When you say them to yourself regularly or write down in a journal, they can increase your self-esteem and improve your mindset. Nothing can dim the light that shines from within.
February 2022 Benefits Buzz
You can make Benefits changes in Employee Navigator. When you experience a life event, do you know how to report any changes that need to be made? Provo City School District uses Employee Navigator for Open Enrollment and life event changes and then report them to the insurance carriers. If adding a life event, log into Employee Navigator, and click on the Life Events tab.
Suicide Prevention Training for License Renewal
