INTERMEDIATE CAMP FUNDRAISING
Mega Auction
A huge thank you and round of applause for all those who supported the fabulous Auction. The staff, students, businesses who donated items, parents who worked before and during the auction and of course those fortunate to attend. Without everyone working and supporting this would not have been so wonderful. What a great school community we have! Some incredible bargains were had. Where else could you get a scooter, helmet, $50 voucher, jumping sack set and a train set all for $78 or an organised kids slumber party for $40!!!!!
A great night was had by all with our hilarious Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, Grant Kenny, as auctioneer. Over $3000 dollars was raised (before costs). Well done to all and again, thank you.
Chocolates: All chocolate money is to be returned to school urgently.
Healthy & Plastic Free Lunch Box
We welcome guest contributor Simone Hayward with some great nutritious ideas for lunch boxes. Over the coming weeks, she will share some fabulous ideas and recipes with a regular piece.
Check out her Facebook page: www.facebook.com/simonesplantbased.kitchen/ Or visit her website for catering menus: www.simonesplantbased.com Thank you Simone.
Lunch box tips:
* Home baking - reduces sugar, additives, preservatives
* Raw vegetables - carrot sticks and a hummus are delicious and cheap
* A thermos with a homemade soup or leftovers are great for lunches
Sports News
Congratulations: It has been a busy few weeks for Kaitlyn Antill on the sporting front. Earlier this month Kaitlyn was first in the 12 and Under girls section of the Peter Catley Memorial Cross Country, beating home a large field of runners. Younger sister Lara also did very well finishing 6th. The sisters were joined by Pippa Sutton to participate in the Urenui Run Amuck. Lara and Pippa did great in the girls 3.2km event while Kaitlyn was first in the open female event over 5km. Well done Kaitlyn, fantastic performance.

This is for Year 5-8 students. If your child is keen to play please get them to speak with Mr Kershaw, as teams need to be registered early next week.

We need more clear 1.25 litre and 2.25 litre bottles. If you have an interest in assisting with environmental projects please contact Mrs Ritchie who would love some support.
