Dear Christ the King School Families,

As we concluded our first three days of school, we can be very thankful for our wonderful students, our parents, and our returning (and new or newly placed) faculty and staff. I feel very blessed to be a part of such a warm and loving community, and I am eager to continue immersing myself into the daily academics and activities at Christ the King. This past Monday and Tuesday, the dedicated faculty and staff worked together during their times of In Service, sharing opportunities of professional development. On Monday, at noon, the MIddle School Orientation welcomed our 6th graders and new 7th grade students. Later, the Ice Cream Social provided a chance for community members to reconnect and welcome new friends. Carl, the Cardinal, beloved CKS mascot, made his final appearance, allowing Carl 2.0 to make his big introduction, high-fiving the crowd! Finally, students have been enjoying these first three days, getting to know their new teachers and settling into a routine. Based on the current vibe, the school year should continue to rock!!

Back to School Night is on Thursday, September 7th from 5:30-7pm. This event is for parents only. It is for Preschool - 8th grade. Meet our new principal and your children's teachers and learn what you can expect from this year. This is an important event, and we ask that at least one parent from each family attend. There will be time to participate in multiple children's classrooms.

Up-to-date information is key. Please log onto CKS website http://www.cksvt.org and go to the bottom of the CKS web page under “Parents” section & click on “RenWeb Parents Web Login”.

The district code is CK-VT.

1) We ask that you complete any needed RenWeb/FACTS SIS updates (new addresses, contact info, etc.) as soon as possible.

2) Updated immunization records are required and need to be faxed to school (802-658-6553) or a copy brought to the main office.

Old Carl is off to enjoy his retirement from CKS with some travel and relaxation. He got Carl 2.0. to step-up and help out around CKS. If you see Carl Jr., make sure you say "hello"!

Thank you to Mike and Hala Williams who provided breakfast from Kountry Kart Deli and thank you to Dean and Debby Rolland for the lunch from Dave’s Cosmic Subs! ST. ANTHONY THRIFT SHOP UPDATE

We will begin taking donations again starting on September 7th. You can bring your fall and winter donation items starting on September 12th. Like our Facebook posts and share with friends. We always need volunteers. Contact the parish office for more information.
