Principals' Greeting
Dear Hiteon Community,
With the arrival of the final stretch of the school year, we find ourselves reflecting on the incredible journey we have been on together. It is now time to rally our energy as we set our sights on finishing strong and making the most of our remaining time together.
To our remarkable students, we commend you for your hard work, growth, and resilience throughout the year. As we approach the final weeks, continue to give your best effort, stay focused on your goals, and embrace every learning opportunity that comes your way. Remember, every step forward, no matter how small, brings you closer to reaching your full potential. We have so many end-of-the-year activities and traditions to look forward to!
To our parents and guardians, we express our deepest appreciation for your partnership and continued support. Your involvement in your child's education has made a profound impact on their achievements. Encourage them to stay focused, maintain a positive mindset, and celebrate their accomplishments thus far. Your support and encouragement will help them finish this year on a positive note.

Hiteon's Daily Attendance Schedule
7:45 - Doors open & Cafeteria opens for breakfast
8:00 - School promptly begins
2:35 - Dismissal
Attendance is very important to student success!
According to BSD policy absences that are not medical in nature, such as vacations, will be marked as unexcused absence.
Tardy: School begins promptly at 8:00am.
Students that are not seated at their desk at 8:00am are considered tardy.
Unless they are in the cafeteria having breakfast. Unfortunately, this means that students that are in vehicles in the parking lot are still considered late if they enter the building at 8:01am.
Early Arrival: For your child’s safety, students must NOT arrive at school before 7:45am there is no adult supervision prior to 7:45.
Dismissal: Again, for student safety, all students must be picked up from school at dismissal time 2:35pm. There is no supervision after 2:35. Unless the student is involved in a supervised after-school activity. Students who stay on school property past dismissal of 2:35pm must have parent supervision.

Return your Library Books
It is that time of year to get all of your Hiteon library books turned in on your next library day.
We do not charge late fees in BSD; we just want to get as many books back as possible. If you truly believe your child's book is lost, then please email Mrs. Sadlouskos at mary_sadlouskos@beaverton.k12.or.us. I can than switch the book from late to lost in the system.
The HIteon Library will be having our annual FREE book giveaway in the the next couple weeks. Kids will come to "shop" for free discarded books during their regular library day. These books are for the students to take, read, keep, or pass on to a friend. They are no longer library books; so please do not turn them back to Hiteon. An example of what the tags look like is below.
Read, Read, READ....
