Dear AVS Parents and Guardians,

This month we are honoring our students of the month who have demonstrated a great sense of “RESPONSIBILITY” while on campus. All of these students were honored at our Awards Assembly this morning! Please join me in celebrating the following students of the month!

THE AVS BOOK FAIR HAS ARRIVED!

We are kicking things off with our annual BOOK FAIR happening in the AVS Library! A special thanks goes out to Liza Hinman, Emma Donau, and Paige Reynoso for organizing and setting up this special event! The book fair is open before school, after school, and at our 12:10-12:50pm student lunch

Dear Families,

We are hosting our staff Holiday Party on Thursday, December 7th. To ensure all staff can attend our Holiday Party we will NOT be offering Aftercare on this day. Please make sure to make alternate plans and pick up all students at the regular time of 2:50. Thank you for understanding.

AVS Gift Card/Food Drive

This year we are modifying our food drive to meet the needs of our families in need. Rather than

the traditional “bring what you have” model, we are hoping to provide an opportunity for our

families to purchase the specific items they need including perishable items. Below are several

options for people who would like to donate:

Option 1: Donate gift cards to grocery stores (Food Max, Safeway, Target, Walmart, etc.) ranging

from $5 and up.

Option 2: Send in cash donations for our staff to purchase gift cards at grocery stores. We can

accept cash or checks (payable to: Nadia Podesto).

Option 3: Purchase items off of the list below to donate to families. Bring items to the 4th grade

classroom by Wednesday, December 20th.
