6th Grade Update
- Sixth grade adventure day was a huge success! Students enjoyed kayaking, fishing, and fun on the inflatables. They bonded with their new classmates and teachers. The head of Super Games said the kids were awesome - so polite and respectful! YEA GMSE 6th graders! If your child lost an item at the park, please see the photo and encourage them to get it from the lost and found in the cafeteria. A big thank you to all the parent volunteers!
- Please return your child's PINK CONFERENCE FORM as soon as possible to your child's house teacher regardless of if you'd like a conference on 9/19, 9/28, or 10/5. For daily assignments, students (and parents) are encouraged to use the Launchpad, updated by teachers. You can check your child's grades on Infinite Campus. Students have been doing a great job adjusting to their schedules and expectations at middle school.

District Update on COVID-19
- On May 11, 2023, the federal government declared the COVID-19 public health emergency to be over. In this light, Franklin County Public Health has rescinded the Franklin County COVID-19 public health emergency. This update ended school districts’ obligation to contact trace and report COVID positive cases within the community.
- FCPH and CDC guidance remains as follows: “After testing positive, you should stay home for 5 days regardless of vaccination status. After 5 days, you may end isolation if you are fever-free for 24 hours (without use of fever-reducing medicine) AND your symptoms are improving.”
