Welcome to March!

The time is really flying this year, and we are headed full speed into the home stretch!

Here are a few important updates that you should be aware of for this week.

We look forward to brighter spring days, and warmer weather in the months to come!

As a reminder, school will dismiss at 1:40 PM every day this week, due to Parent Teacher Conferences.

Our Beacon program will begin earlier, but still end at 6:00 PM.

Students not enrolled in Beacon MUST be picked up by 1:40 PM.

If you have not been scheduled yet, please call the main office right away to schedule an in-person on on-line conference with your child's Educator: 415-330-1540

Please be reminded that Carver is a uniform school.

Our uniform consists of white collared shirt/blouse or polo shirt and navy blue pants/skirt/skort/jumper or knee length shorts. Students may wear a white long sleeve shirt under their blouse for warmth.

Students may wear a jacket or sweatshirt in class due to cold weather. Students may not wear hoods or hats in the building.

Students must wear close-toed shoes or boots to school. Tennis shoes or gym shoes of any color are okay. No sandals or flip-flops. CROCS may not be worn to school. Students will not be allowed to participate in recess or PE if they are not wearing the proper shoes. This is to protect students' ankles, feet and toes during recess, PE, and other movement in class.

Carver is participating in SFUSD's annual Culture and Climate Survey!

This is an annual survey the district uses to gather feedback from staff, students, and families. Our window for completion is February 28th - March 16th.

The Culture-Climate surveys provide us with important information about the climate of our school and let us know how we are doing! Results from the survey let us put attention on areas we can address to meet the needs of our students and families. All responses are completely anonymous and we encourage honest feedback!

iPads will be available at drop off and pick up each day to assist with completing this 10 minute survey! Additionally students will be sent home with a flyer containing the QR code and survey link with a bottom section to return to school confirming completion. Surveys can be completed on any personal device.

1 raffle ticket per survey (1 per student enrolled at Carver) will be given for completing this survey and on March 16th we will draw for winners of an assortment of gift cards and prizes.
