Principal's Message
Dear Mulino Families,
Thank you to all of the families that were able to meet with our teachers this past week. The school and home connection is a vital component of our student's success. We truly appreciate the time and hard work that goes into establishing as well as maintaining open lines of communication.
Did you know that students with regular attendance (attending school 90% or more of the time) are more likely to succeed? Attendance is important for all grades. For example, students with chronic absenteeism, missing 10% or more of school are less likely to master reading by the end of third grade. Absences impact your student whether they are excused or unexcused absences.
At Mulino Elementary, students missing 18 or more days of school in a year are considered chronically absent. Currently, 38% of Mulino Elementary students are considered Chronically Absent, with attendance below 90%.
Parents and guardians can monitor their student’s attendance through ParentVue (contact our office if you need assistance). We know there are many obstacles that can impact students attending school from mental and physical needs to other barriers. If you need assistance with food, transportation, mental or physical health resources, or tips and tricks to support attendance please let us know. We’re happy to help.
We are looking forward to a great week,
Principal Hall

- Pull forward in the drop-off zone as far as you can
- Once stopped within the drop-off zone, please let your child out. Please don't stop early as this causes the line to slow for everyone
