New Year - A Time for Renewal

As an educator I've always viewed life in terms of School Years, not calendar years. But January 1st is always a great opportunity to take stock of where we are toward the goals we set earlier in the school year. Report cards came out in December. In January, we will be repeating our iReady assessments, and our DESSA Screeners. Both of these assessments are good opportunities to check in your child's progress. It is also a good time to renew committments to making sure our children have a quiet space to do homework each night, eat dinner together, model good reading habits, or to limit screen time and social media. Whatever your goals are for your child and for your family, now is the time to regroup and start again.
