STEM Room

The time has finally come! Hough Street’s brand new STEM room is officially complete. On Monday, March 6th, our wonderful 5th graders from Mrs. Jagielski, Mrs. Lanan, Mrs. Christianson, and Mrs. Haney’s classes will be our first students to experience STEM in the newly renovated addition. We are so thankful for all of the support and patience our community has shown during our construction. We know that the unique STEM experiences that this space will provide will benefit our students.

Spring Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, March 22 (4 pm - 8 pm) and Thursday, March 23 (3 pm - 7 pm). Parents may sign up for a conference, via the Meet the Teacher tool, beginning this Monday, March 6th at 8:00 am. Online sign-ups close on Sunday, March 12 at 11:30 pm. Please remember that students’ names must be entered exactly as they appear in Infinite Campus. Please contact the Hough Office with any questions.

I encourage all families to take a couple of minutes to complete the parent portion of the survey, which is linked below. This information provides our district and school leaders with feedback to help guide school improvement planning and actions in the future.

Seussical Performance

Nearly 70 of Hough's fourth and fifth graders are putting on a production of Seussical Kids on Thursday, April 20th at Station Middle School (curtain goes up at 6:30 pm). Tickets will go on sale for Seussical cast families on Monday, March 13th at 10:00 AM. Any remaining tickets will be available to the Hough community for purchase on Monday, March 20th (the ticket link is forthcoming).

Any audience member aged 3 or older must purchase a seat. Student performers will not require a ticket. Children aged 2 or younger may sit on a lap or purchase a seat. A student assembly will be held for our K-5th grade students to have the opportunity to see the Seussical performance on April 21. Pride Board

We are closing the books on February’s Empathy & Advocacy Pride Board category, as we recognize six more Hough Hawks for demonstrating these valuable traits.
