Happy Friday to you. If you celebrate Easter, we wish you an excellent holiday weekend this weekend.

We are really excited about next week. On Monday we have a GMAS Pep Rally. Students will represent different colleges, and we will promote scholarship, excellence, and what it means to "do your best on the test". Eighth grade Language Arts GMAS starts on Thursday.

Also, we have a Luau planned for our 6th and 7th graders, and a special event for our 8th graders coming up. If you wish to help out, we can use assistance with setup, decorations, and chaperones. More adults around is always better.

The federal government waiver that provides free meals for every student will end on June 30, so students will resume paying for meals according to the regular, free, or reduced lunch qualifications.

This means that we will need applications for free/reduced lunches next year if you expect to get those prices.

April's IB Learner Profile is Knowledgeable

IB Learners explore concepts, ideas and issues that have local and global significance. In so doing, they acquire in-depth knowledge and develop understanding across a broad and balanced range of disciplines.

If your child has a student laptop checked out from Summerour, it was due to the school by March 25. Please get it in now, checking to be sure you have chargers accounted for and it is complete.

We are no longer taking orders, but we did order some extra yearbooks for last-minute purchasers. When they are gone, they're gone! If you want a yearbook this year, come to the Media Center to reserve yours before they are gone.

We had a great time with our rising 6th grade students this week. They came by bus, got a tour of the school, and an energetic pep rally to introduce some of our Fine Arts programs. A few of them even walked away with a free music program t-shirt, and they all received a Class of 2029 True Blue towel.

We also debuted our new mascot, appropriately named Bleu, at this event! We cannot wait to see these students back here next year to begin their future!
