2024 Sodexo Future Chef Competition
The 2024 Sodexo Future Chef competition will be held Thursday, March 14 at 4:15 p.m. at Hannah Beardsley Middle School. This year's theme is "your favorite food from home" and District 47 students in 3rd-5th grades are invited to submit recipes! Recipes will be reviewed by Sodexo and one winner from each school will be chosen to participate in the competition. In addition, this year kindergarten - 2nd graders are invited to participate in a culinary coloring contest. Coloring sheets will be available at D47 elementary schools by February 13. Students who complete a coloring sheet can return it to their teacher, who will then forward it on to the cafeteria manager to be displayed in the school cafeteria. All recipes and coloring sheets must be submitted to school cafeteria managers by March 1, 2024. See the links below. Questions about Sodexo Future Chef events can be directed to Terry Wenzel, Sodexo general manager, at twenzel@d47.org.

Update From Canterbury Building Leadership Team
The Canterbury Building Leadership Team consists of administrators and staff who work together to make Canterbury a better place for students, families, and staff. At our most recent meeting we reviewed Math and Reading data from the Winter Fastbridge Assessment and how we will use that data to improve teaching and learning. We also discussed the professional development we want to do as a staff before the end of this year. We even started to look forward to projects for next year. All of our work is centered around making Canterbury a thriving community for all stakeholders.
