On the Horizon
VUHS January 19th, 2024
Principal Message
What a great kickoff to semester 2. Students have been attending their semester 2 classes this week. The school counselors have been working hard to meet all students needs. The Drop/Add period end on Tuesday at 3pm so if your student wants to change their courses they have the next two days. On Friday during block 6 we have Fun Friday where students can sign up to do something fun. This Friday there was a lot of joy in the building and students were having fun.
Please read the letter below. The Course Registration process is starting soon. There will be course registration meetings the week of January 29th. The course requests will be due on Friday February 9th, 2024. If you have any questions please reach out to your school counselor.
There are a lot of games going on as the winter season is wrapping up and starting their championships games soon. The musical is up and running and getting ready for the show in March. The hustle and bustle of the school year is one of the many reasons why I love working in a school. We hope to see you at an upcoming event!
Some events that are coming up in the next few weeks are:
- 1/22: FAFSA Forms Night @ 6:30
- 1/23: Drop/Add period for S2 courses will end for students at 3pm.
- 2/10: Winter Ball
- 2/13: Winter Concert
- 2/19 - 2/23: February Break
