Principal's Message...
One of our primary goals has been to develop our school culture and students' connectedness to campus. The research is overwhelming in the value of that. Along those lines, our student events are a big step in that direction. This Thursday's HS BBQ is one example along with the upcoming Maverick Hangout September 29th from 12:30-1:45 pm at the K-8 campus for our TK-5 students highlights our efforts to improve student connectedness to campus. There will be Otterpops and games to play. Please be sure to pack a lunch if your student plans on attending. See our flyer for more details.
For those students attending the K-8 campus, we are changing some of our classrooms as Estock Elementary has added 8 teachers this year due to increased enrollment and needed E4. As a result, Mrs. Maeda has moved to P9 and Mrs. Paulson will be sharing P9. This does not impact student schedules for classroom instruction. All will remain the same. It just means that a change to room assignment for two of our classrooms. We will be at the gate and explain to the students next week.
If you have not been before, Dino Dash is coming November 6th. There are 2K, 5K, 10K walk/run options alonge with 3 options for the bike tour as well. Tustin Connect gets $10 for every entry directly back to our classrooms. The yearly event, sponsored by the Tustin Public Schools Foundation is fun filled day for students and parents alike. We will also be having a booth at the event as well sponsored by our PTA. We hope to see you all there. Details and a link to sign up can be found here. https://www.tpsf.net/dinodash

Dino Dash 2022
🦖 Dino Dash: TPSF Annual fundraiser will be on November 6th. The Dino Dash is a wonderful way for students and families to come together and raise money for TUSD schools. Many of the staff and students participate every year and we'd love to get a group of TC Mavericks together on race day.
- Register at https://www.tpsf.net/dinodash
- For each registration, $10 goes straight to your teacher's classroom for supplies.
- There's a virtual run available for families who can't make it or want to avoid the crowd.
- If you can't run, you can purchase a runnership to sponsor another runner in TUSD and $10 still goes to the classroom!
- We always need volunteers to run the event. If you are interested, please let me know.
PTA Roundup
Hello Maverick Families,
PTA sponsored our first high school BBQ of the school year and it was a huge success. We only had 4 burgers leftover! That's the measure of a good BBQ, no food left. PTA is happy to sponsor this monthly community building event at our high school and look forward to the Maverick Hangout this Thursday, September 29th. It's just another way that your support allows PTA to support our students.
Don't forget to save the date for Trunk or Treat on Thursday, October, 27th 5pm - 7 pm.
PTA will be sponsoring our TC SWAG Store! Get ready for the opportunity to buy shirts, sweatshirts, pajama pants, and more...
We are looking for a volunteer to lead our "Dinner Night's Out" Please reach out to Ziggy McBride if you are interested in leading this position.
If you have not had a chance and are still interested in supporting our school by clicking the link below to donate today!! Thank you for your support!!
