An Extraordinary Place to Learn
A Message From Principal Wilson
Welcome Back! It is hard to believe there are only three weeks left in Fall semester. I trust that you all got plenty of rest and spent quality time with friends and family over the break. It is important that our scholars return ready to finish this semester STRONG!
Thank you to those of you who came out to the Thanksgiving luncheons. It is my hope that you enjoyed the food and the opportunity to fellowship with one another, our staff, and our scholars. We really appreciate you for taking time out of your schedules to join us. We are also grateful to those who stopped by and supported the Scholastic Bookfair. Thank you for your purchases which will benefit the school and our scholars.
I would also like to thank those of you who joined us for Math Night at Kroger. This was an exciting interactive evening of educational family fun. If you missed this one, please stay tuned for future community collaboration events. Check the monthly newsletter, weekly email blasts, and school calendar for upcoming event dates and times.
Our PTA meeting this month will feature the Winter Concert and our Kindergarten Showcase of Learning. We look forward to seeing you there. Save the date, December 17, 2019 at 6:30 p.m.
If you have received a notice from the cafeteria about your scholar's lunch balance, please see our cafeteria manager Ms. Hayes to make payments on the lunch account, or visit the FCS nutrition site to pay all outstanding lunch balances. The link to the school nutrition website is located in this newsletter.
It has truly been a privilege to serve the scholars, staff, and families of Randolph Elementary over the past few months. I thank those of you who've expressed concerns, and continue to show support while ensuring we create a culture of collaboration between the school, parents, and community. Please continue to keep me informed as to how I can make your experience at Randolph EXTRAordinary!
In Partnership,
Principal Wilson, Proud Dolphin

A Message From Our PTA President
Dear Parents:
Every year, our PTA helps to oversee the needs and development of the school. We help by raising funds to provide a wide range of educational enrichment programs to our students. The money we raise helps to fund class trips to all grades, books, classroom supplies, and a lot more. During the past years, the PTA has provided learning opportunities that would have otherwise been unavailable to our children. As the new school year begins, we would once again ask for your support so that we can continue making resource and learning opportunities available to our children.
While dues are not required for membership, the PTA depends on your annual voluntary donations to keep all sorts of wonderful things happening for the children of A. Philip Randolph. If you choose not to make any voluntary donations, we still appreciate your involvement and your time contributed to support our school. Please fill out the form by clicking the link here --> https://randolphpta.memberhub.store for instant membership.
If you have more than one child at this school, please list all your children’s names and classes on one form.
Sincerely,
Renee Young, PTA President
Randolph is aTitle I School
What is Title I?
Title I is a federally funded program designed to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic standards and state academic assessments.
The Title I program focuses on the academic needs of the most disadvantaged students.
There are 60 schools operating Title I programs in the Fulton County School System for the 2018-2019 school year.
Be on the lookout for parent engagement activities through our Title I parent liaisons office. Check the school calendar, monthly newsletter, and weekly email blasts for Title I updates.
