Brimhall Families,
As we enter the Fall/Winter season please have your Bengal be mindful on dressing for recess time. The Health Office does not have spare clothing for all of Brimhallđ. Especially when it is very wet and muddy on the fields. Your child is welcome to bring spare clothes in their backpack.
Thanks,
Front Office Staff

THANK YOU!
Thank you for all of your support and purchases during our Book Fair last week. We raised over $2,000 for our school library-- new books will be ordered soon!
- A BIG thank you to all of the parents and grandparents that volunteered! We couldn't do it without you.
- A GIANT thank you to those that donated funds for students at Brimhall to get books. 73 students were able to pick out a book from the book fair thanks to your generous donations.

Parents often ask âis my child well enough to go to school?â
These are some guidelines to help answer that question:
*Students who have a fever of 100 degrees or greater need to stay home until they are fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.
*Students who have vomiting and/or diarrhea need to be symptom free for 24 hours before they return to school.
*Students who have a rash that may be infectious or a rash of âunknown originâ will need to see their doctor for a diagnosis and treatment before returning to school.
*Students who have a positive strep culture may return to school 12 hours after the first dose of the antibiotic, if they are feeling well enough to participate in school.
We also ask that you report to the health office any confirmed cases of infectious diseases such as strep throat, chicken pox, pertussis, influenza, pink eye, etc.
Please remember to report all school absences to the school attendance line.

Arrival/Dismissal
ARRIVAL
The doors open at 9:25am and the official start of the day is at 9:35am. Students are not allowed in the building or waiting in the entrance. All students need to wait outside until the first bell rings. Please have your Bengal dress appropriately for that time outside.
DISMISSAL
School day ends at 4pm, our stagger dismissal starts at 3:55pm. We appreciate that all Parent Pickups please pick up your Brimhall Student no later then 4:10pm. We have been experiencing really late pickups the past couple of weeks.
If you are driving to pick up your child and you notice that your childâs grade level is not yet outside, please make another loop around the parking lot rather than waiting in the loading lane.
When you enter the loading zone, please remain in your car. Your child will enter the car on the passenger side. If your child is unable to get into the car on their own, we ask that you park in the parking lot and then walk to pick up your child. Exiting the car at any time in the loading zone puts you and others at risk as cars pull out of the loading zone to exit.
CHANGES TO YOUR CHILDâS DISMISSAL ROUTINE
Any changes to your childâs dismissal routine MUST be communicated to the school by 1:30pm. This is important. It will allow us to make sure that your child is where they need to be at dismissal.
Parking
- If you are dropping off your child without parking, all cars must enter the main parking lot and curve around the south end of the lot to the unloading zone in front of the main entrance.
- If you are parking and walking to the main entrance, you need to park ONLY in marked parking spaces. Please DO NOT park along the lanes. If there are no parking spaces in your first drive through, you can use the connecting lane to circle around a second time. Use the marked sidewalks and crosswalks to walk your child to the main entrance (Door number 1).
CONTACTING THE SCHOOL
If you call to talk to your teacher during school hours, you will be transferred to their voicemail. Please leave a message for your childâs teacher and they will get back to you within 24 hours. We are doing everything we can to create a distraction free learning environment to allow our staff and students to focus on learning and teaching. If there is urgent information that a teacher needs to know, you can give that information to our front office staff and we will pass the message on.
