When you open the weekly bulletin email, click on the bulletin. It will open in a new page. At the top right side there is a button that says "translate." You can choose whichever language you prefer and it will translate the weekly bulletin for you.

Academic Feedback forms were sent home with students on Thursday, 11/16. Please make sure that you check your child's backpack.

November 27-December 1, Deer Creek School students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades will participate in the PBIS School Climate Survey during morning meetings.

The School Climate Survey is an anonymous survey used to identify school climate issues within our school. There are 11 questions about students' experiences at school, and they should take 10 minutes to complete. Students are also asked for demographic information about how they identify. The data collected from this survey will be used to understand student perceptions of school climate issues within our school and how student identity may affect their school experiences. School staff uses the results to inform our efforts at improving our school climate.

Results are anonymous, but families are given the option for their students to opt out of taking the survey. If you would like to opt-out your student, please contact Associate Principal, Dina Christophersen. Although we hope everyone can take the survey, we recognize some families may not want their students to participate.

Student safety is one of our top priorities at Deer Creek. As we know, the traffic during morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal can be pretty hectic. With that said, please do not unload or load your child(ren) into a car on 131st Ave. Please choose to use the pull through pick up line in our parking lot, park in the lot, or park in the neighborhood and retrieve your child(ren) there. Thank you for your understanding.

We would like to invite families to attend a 90-minute PAX Tools training on Thursday, November 30th from 5:30-7:30.

The training will be offered in English and Spanish and support parents with simple PAX strategies (reinforced in the classroom) that promote peace, productivity, and health in the home.

Childcare and dinner will be provided.

Parents and caregivers are invited to attend the second in a series of "Brain Based Parenting" with Dr. Collier. Dr. Collier is a subject expert on strategies to prevent high-risk behaviors from happening.

• This hybrid session will offer an in-depth dive into three categories you will select when you register.
• Please register by December 1st if you would like your selections to be counted.
• Registration is NOT required but encouraged, especially for those attending in person.

TTSD and LifeStance Health have partnered to improve student access to mental health services. The LifeStance Health School-Based Program is dedicated to providing quality therapeutic services to schools while removing barriers for students and families by placing therapists in district buildings. School-Based Therapists treat mental health conditions which can include depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, or substance use issues.

Services are billed through OHP and most insurance plans.

LifeStance Health serves all TTSD students K-12 out of two locations:

1. Tigard High School

2. Byrom Elementary/Tualatin High School

Asociación entre TTSD y LifeStance Health

TTSD y LifeStance Health se han asociado para mejorar el acceso de los estudiantes a los servicios de salud mental. Volunteer process:

We are very fortunate to have wonderful community members and families who want to be part of our students' education by volunteering! With that comes the responsibility of making sure our schools and students are safe at all times.

Anyone seeking to be a volunteer for our schools and or buildings needs to be background checked and offered the vector training. If a community member and or parent wants to volunteer, they have to go through the volunteer process and be cleared before doing so.

Volunteers and after school events:

The volunteer process must be followed if the person will be interacting with our students. Whether the volunteering will take place during school or after school, the parent/community member must undergo the volunteer requirements as outlined on our website. This includes all school and or PTO/PSO sponsored events.

Background checks:
We are very busy with background checks for new hires and volunteers. Please get your volunteer applications submitted sooner than later so you are approved for activities throughout the year. Volunteer applications are good for 3 years, this includes the background check and the training.

Covid Vaccine Cards are no longer required!
