The Cedar Hill High School Girls Basketball Team lost a hard-fought game to DeSoto, 61-48, in the UIL Class 6A Regional Quarterfinals on February 20 in Dallas. Here's a photo gallery from the game, and here's a Dallas Morning News game story.

The Lady Longhorns (22-14) were within three points of the Lady Eagles (27-6) at one point during the second half.

Tajanae "Red" Gooden, pictured above hugging Cedar Hill Director of Athletics Melanie Benjamin, scored a game-high 21 points, and teammate Taylor Craver added 14 points.

Each of the four District 6A-11 teams that qualified for the playoffs reached the Regional Quarterfinals. District 6A-11 is 13-3 in the postseason, with Duncanville defeating DeSoto, 46-39, last Saturday in the Regional Final to advance to the State Semifinals.

The Cedar Hill High School Boys Basketball Team held a first half lead but to lost to Pflugerville Weiss, 52-49, in the first round of the UIL Class 6A Playoffs on February 19 in China Spring.

Weiss lost to Rockwall, 77-53, in the second round.

The Longhorns (21-14) managed to reach the postseason for the third time in four seasons.

Cedar Hill High School senior Krystal Ramirez scored her first goal of the season in a loss at Duncanville on February 20.

The Lady Longhorns (3-13-2, 2-8) will look to sweep the season series with Skyline (3-12) and DeSoto (2-9-1) this week. Cedar Hill will honor its seniors on Friday against DeSoto.

With four games remaining in the season, the Cedar Hill High School Boys Soccer Team has an outside chance of reaching the postseason.

The Longhorns (2-11-3, 2-5-2) will have to upset Skyline (12-5-1) on Tuesday when the Raiders visit Longhorn Stadium. The teams tied, 2-2, when they played in Dallas on February 5.

Cedar Hill will visit DeSoto (1-12-3) on Friday. The Longhorns won the Battle Of Belt Line, 5-0, on February 8 in Cedar Hill.

The Lady Longhorns (2-11) will visit Fort Worth Nolan Catholic (0-13) on Tuesday, before opening a tournament in Red Oak against Fort Worth Diamond Hill Jarvis (2-0). Cedar Hill second-year head coach Regis Andrez previously coached at Diamond Hill Jarvis.

The Cedar Hill High School Baseball Team opened its 2024 season with a perfect 5-0 record at the Everman Tournament, playing all five games in Godley.

Among the victories for the Longhorns (5-0) were a 6-4 win over future 6A-11 opponent, Lancaster, and a 4-1 tournament finale victory against host Godley.
