DECEMBER EDTECH UPDATE
December 2022 - EdTech Tips, Teaching Strategies & More..
Hour of Code December 5-11 2022
Hour of Code is a global movement put on by code.org and is available year-round, but every year in December your class can join millions of students around the world celebrating Computer Science Education Week. Anyone, anywhere can organize an Hour of Code event. One-hour tutorials in over 45 languages. No experience needed.
The goal of Code.org is to increase diversity in computer science by reaching students of all backgrounds where they are โ at their skill-level, in their schools, and in ways that inspire them to keep learning. The vast majority of the students on Code.org are from student groups historically underrepresented in computer science. So please think about participating in Hour of Code 2022.

๐ฅThe Complete Seesaw Lessons Library Is Free For A Limited Time๐ฅ
Last month I shared the Wit & Wisdom Alignment & SEL Collections.
This month, I would like to highlight the Daily Routines ๐จ๐พโ๐ป and Lessons aligned to Fundations
If your interested in implementing a Digital Morning Routine and/or a Check In activity. These lessons are designed to be completed independently by students for 5 minutes at the beginning of the day. Integrating check ins into morning routines allows teachers to provide timely targeted support for any students who need it ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ. This collection also provides students with different ways to express their feelings whether that be through drawing, writing, speaking, or more.
And I will keep beating the ๐ฅ and remind you that parents love to hear and see what their students are doing in the classroom. Seesaw amplifies student voice and is an easy way to connect with families!
Also to celebrate Computer Science week, Seesaw has invited some real computer scientists to share about their jobs! Join them live with your students to learn about jobs in computer science. Register here https://bit.seesaw.me/csed
