As we move into February, there are a lot of things coming up in the near future, so be sure to take a look at the important dates section, below!

The Arrow is a great resource to find important highlights and information related to FIS students and our school community. The Arrow provides direction and insight on the actions FIS takes to Be Safe, Be Kind, Be Smart, Be Ready and Be Connected!!

Thank you to all students wearing their ID proudly each day! We appreciate you! Students should be wearing their ID upon entry to the school. If they have lost their ID they are able to purchase one.

Kindness is the ability and willingness to express care and compassion for others. Kindness is a choice to use our time, talent, and resources to better the lives of others and the world through genuine acts of love, compassion, generosity, and service.

Why focus on Kindness?

• Kindness boosts positive emotions. Acts of kindness create neural pathways that enhance feelings of well-being and the natural flow of feel-good endorphins and neurotransmitters.
• Kindness is self-replicating. When we perform an act of kindness, it is likely to encourage others to act in a similar way.
• Kindness reduces stress and anxiety. Kindness promotes positive relationships with other people. Anything that helps you to build bonds with other people helps decrease anxiety.

Kindness in Action:

• Celebrate small things. Start each day with Good Things. Publicly and privately affirm kind and thoughtful actions and attitudes.
• Create opportunities for students to regularly affirm each other. Once a week, dedicate time for students to write notes of affirmation to classmates, school staff members and even family members.
• Model Kindness. Be mindful of body language, tone, and mindset. Kindness is learned by example.

All school sports fees must be paid for by card/apple pay. There is no cash accepted. Link to the payment portal is on the FIS Website.

The prices are $4 for adults and $2 for students with a $1 surcharge per ticket....FIS students get in free with their badges.

For student to attend after school FIS or BPort High School games and events the following guidelines must be followed:

1. Student IDs are required for admission to FIS & Bport after school games and events. No other form of student identification will be accepted.
   
2. No backpacks will be allowed through the gates at Bport HS games / events.
   
3. FIS students WITH STUDENT IDs have free admission into FIS & Bport games.
4. Students will be removed from games & events for inappropriate behavior. Any student removed from games or events for behavior will be sent to a campus administrator the following day.
