February 2024
As February unfolds, we find ourselves at the beginning of Black History Month, a time dedicated to recognizing and honoring the significant contributions of African Americans throughout history. Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion extends beyond the confines of a single month, but Black History Month provides a focused opportunity to amplify our efforts. In celebrating the achievements of Black Americans, and recognizing their central role in our nation's history, we encourage you to learn more by exploring the Black History Guide produced by our Equity & Belonging team.Thank you for joining us in commemorating Black History Month.

This month also marks the start of Heart Health month. A designated period to raise awareness about cardiovascular health and emphasize the importance of preventive measures to reduce the risk of heart-related issues. In addition to a spirit week, this month we are excited to have the opportunity to offer CPR training for both staff and families. Please see below for more information about our family training. Our PE teacher, Mr. Chafe will also take time this month to teach students about heart health and how to respond if they are in a situation where someone around them is experiencing a heart emergency.
