Project Search

For the past two years, Parkwest has partnered with Knox County Schools and Sertoma of Knoxville on Project SEARCH. The program provides internships to high school students with disabilities, with the ultimate goal of preparing them for post-secondary employment. In order to participate, the students submit applications for consideration for the program in January of their exit year of high school.


Placements at the hospital include : Housekeeping, Surgery, Food Prep, and the Dish Room. At the end of the program the students will receive an employment skills assessment and participate in a graduation celebration.
