School Board Notes

Board Directors Ms. Rees, Mr. Maginnis and Mr. Rookstool were recognized at the November 28, 2023 meeting of the Board for their service to the students, staff and families of the Methacton School District. This was their final meeting as Board Directors. Ms. Rees began her service to the District in December 2015, Mr. Maginnis began his service to the district in December 2019, and Mr. Rookstool began his service to the district in March of 2022. They were each presented with a plaques that read: With Thanks For Your Dedicated Service, Methacton Board of School Directors and their respective dates of service.

This new award is presented each month to a professional staff member, a support staff member, a student, and a volunteer in each building. Spirit of Methacton Award recipients are individuals who consistently model the qualities of the 9 core values of the Methacton School District. These individuals enrich our school community with their knowledge, commitment and support.

November 2023's awardees represent Skyview Elementary School. They are:

Congratulations award recipients!

A very special thank you to Payton Cook and Deanna Rotella for representing Skyview Upper Elementary School as Junior Board Representatives for November 2023. Payton led the meeting by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Deanna delivered a statement on what makes Skyview such a great school.

The Methacton School District's Board of School Directors meets each month. School board work session meetings are generally held on the third Tuesday of the month, followed by the regular meeting on the fourth Tuesday (except during the month of December). Regular Board and Work Session meetings typically take place in the Arcola Auditorium, and all residents are invited to attend. Committee meetings take place in the MHS LGI.
