Staffing Changes in French Immersion
Sylvie Drysdale will be on a leave of absence for the remainder of the year. Isabelle Doyon will be taking over Sylvie's grade two class after a period of transition. For February, Caitlyn Ranger (who has been subbing for Sylvie) and Isabelle Doyon will each teach in that room half time.
With Isabelle Doyon moving into Sylvie's position for the rest of year, Erika Wilson will be remaining full time in the grade three room for the rest of the year.
We are in a unique position of having a high level of intervention for the French Immersion students. As a result of the government's COVID Interruption Grant, Megan Vaillancourt-Campeau is doing literacy and numeracy intervention work every morning with FI students who qualify. This will continue for the remainder of the year.
As well, for the month of February, Carey Flewelling will also be doing morning interventions with FI students. Caitlin Ranger will be teaching in Mme Flewelling's room in the mornings for this month.
We are delighted with the amount of intervention time we have for the FI students right now!
