Lambs Ledger
April 2023
Message from the Principal, Jamie McCarthy
Believe it or not, we are in testing season again! I have enjoyed congratulating our students for meeting their Reading and Math goals! It is a great feeling to earn accomplishments when you put in the effort and work. This is not only an a win for the student, it's one for you too!
Spring break is around the corner! I hope that everyone has an opportunity to regroup, enjoy family time, and take advantage of a relaxed schedule. I look forward to everyone's return as we get one last opportunity to soak in as much learning as possible!
Along with our academics and social emotional learning, attendance is a focus area for us. Since the pandemic, attendance around the nation has declined. At Lambs, we want to support you and help remove any barriers that may exist to interfere with attendance. We know that if your student is present in school, they have a better chance of succeeding!
Did you know that your child can be identified with chronic absenteeism even if they have excused absences? Students who miss over 18 days in the school year whether excused or not are considered chronically absent. We are asking you to partner with us to ensure that your student is in school.
Thank you for being an essential part of your child's learning journey. It takes everyone working together as a team to ensure a top notch education.
