1/9 Tuesday: PAC Meeting @ Adams @ 6:30-8
Everyone is welcome to join us at our monthly meeting to hear about things happening at Adams. Kids will have activities in the gym while the adults meet together in room 107. This month, we'll hear from the Specialist Teachers (Art, Phy Ed, Explorations, & Media). So, please join us! If you can't come in person, but would like to join virtually, here's the link to do that: meet.google.com/zjj-dgse-zes
1/15 Monday: Family Ice Skate Event @ Coon Rapids Ice Arena @1-2 p.m.
C'mon out to the Coon Rapids Ice Arena to try ice skating for the first time OR to show off your mad skills on the rink. If you already have skates, great. If not, they are available for rental for $4.00. Everyone is welcome!
1/15 Monday: Restaurant Night @ Chipotle @ 599 Northtown Dr NE @4-8 p.m
Meet up with your Adams friends at Chipotle for dinner! See your teachers! Before you pay for your meal, be sure to mention that you are there for Adams Elementary so that they know to give a portion of your purchase to support programming (and fun activities like family ice skating!).
From the Desk of our School Social Worker
"Metro by T-Mobile is committed to bridging the digital divide for students in kindergarten through 12th grade across the country, through their Project 10Million initiative. This year, through our partnership with Metro by T-Mobile, and as our National Internet Connectivity sponsor, we are supporting teachers and their classroom by sharing Project 10Million with them. Through the program, qualifying students receive FREE mobile hotspots that provide FREE internet access in the classroom and at home for FIVE years.
The Digital Divide, defined as the gap that exists between those who have reliable internet access and devices and those with very limited access or none at all, impacts 1 in 4 students across the country. This equates to between 15 to 16 million students K-12 who aren’t able to access class during days of e-learning or for homework.
Through Metro by T-Mobile’s Project 10Million, students kindergarten through 12th grade can receive access through the click of a button—it’s that easy—and important."
From Our Volunteer Services Coordinator
Enjoy your break! You deserve it.
Between high school students, community members, and YOU - the guardians of our amazing Adams students - a lot has been accomplished already this school year. We have 109 people who have filled out the volunteer application, and we've logged 750 hours of service!
Spend some extra time with your special student(s), and I look forward to seeing you in 2024!
From our Parent Educator
