ADE EdTech Standards
September 2022
Educational Technology Newsletter
Our goal is to support Arizona educators with implementing the Educational Technology standards by providing high quality resources and meaningful learning opportunities.
Hello EdTech Community!
I hope you had a wonderful first month of school and that you are feeling settled and ready to rock this school year! You may have spent the first few weeks of school getting to know your students and setting the tone for your classroom community. Now that you've gotten into your groove, I encourage you to take some time to think about how you might build upon the lessons you learned during the recent pandemic. Hybrid and remote learning forced us to rely heavily on technology and quickly learn new tools and skills. How could you build upon what you learned and try new authentic educational technology strategies with your students this year? If you are in need of ideas, check out this ISTE Blog post to get your wheels turning!
Please reach out anytime. I am here to support you!
Alecia

Join us for this session where we will cover different digital tools and management tips for making the most out of station rotations.
Differentiating Instruction for ELLs using Microsoft Visio
We all know that a picture is worth a thousand words. When teaching ELLs, providing visual aids is essential for their comprehension. Microsoft Visio, a visual drawing software program, can support this effort with its premade content such as templates, flowcharts, built-in shapes and more. Join us as we explore how Microsoft Visio can be used to provide differentiated instruction for ELLs.
Educator Mental Health and Why We Emotionally Disengage
We work in an emotion-filled profession where empathy and passion are our greatest asset. However, what happens when those feelings are challenged or taken away entirely? How does this happen, and what can we do about it? Join with us and Mandy Froehlich as we explore the reasons why educators become emotionally disengaged in the teaching profession.
