The Week Ahead
Monday, December 18th - Basketball - Our Lady Eagles will play at home. Our boys' basketball teams will travel to Harper's Ferry Middle to face the Tigers. Our gates open at 5:30 p.m. in the back of the school by the gym/cafeteria and the JV game will begin at 6 p.m. Cost to attend is $5.
Wednesday, December 20th - Day Basketball game vs. South Middle Trojans - Boys are at home, Girls play away. The cost for students to attend the game is $3. There will be a concession stand open. Please bring small bills - no $20's! Varsity game will begin at 12:30 p.m. JV game will follow.
Parents: If you are attending the day game - PLEASE PARK IN THE FRONT PARKING LOT. Do not park on the side because school buses will need to pull in for the end of the day bus run. You will enter through the front doors. There is no charge for adults for our day basketball game. A parent section will be roped off to sit in.
Thursday, December 21st - 2-hour early dismissal, Nest Note Reward in the morning

Monday 12/18 - Color War! 8th graders wear red, 7th graders wear white, and 6th graders wear green
Tuesday 12/19 - Ugly Sweater Tuesday! Wear your best ugly holiday sweater
Wednesday 12/20 - The Star on Top of the Tree! Wear gold (gold-out)
Thursday 12/21 - Polar Express Day! Wear your pajama pants

December 22nd - January 2nd - We hope you all have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday break!
January 2nd - Teacher Professional Development day - Students do not report to school.
January 3rd - Students return to school for the start of the second semester.

Congratulations!
HMS 8th grader Amiyah Wright has successfully auditioned and has been seated 6th chair trombone for the All-State Middle School Band Ensemble! We are SO proud of you and your fantastic accomplishment! Amiyah will travel to Charleston, WV to take part in the ensemble, which is comprised of the most talented students from all of West Virginia, in March. She is one of only two middle school band students in Berkeley County to earn a spot in the ensemble. Way to go, Amiyah!
