Stay safe
For the safety of all our scholars and Tower, we ask that these procedures be maintained by all when visiting our school:
- Any time any adult or child is visiting our campus, please have a photo ID and check in at our front office to sign in and receive a visitor badge
- Our front lot outside is a bus only lot each morning and afternoon from 8:55 AM - 9:10 AM and 3:25 PM - 4:05 PM
- If you wish to pick up your child early, please notify our office by 2:00 PM. A valid picture ID is required.
- To avoid learning disruption for all classrooms as well as excessive absences, please minimize early dismissals whenever possible.
- Please note, teachers are teaching during school hours. If you would like to speak to your child's teacher, phoning or emailing is the best route for communication during our school day.
- Our school day starts at 9:10 AM, DROP OFF BEGINS AT 8:55 AM, no earlier for the safety of our scholars. Our school day ends at 3:45 PM. Please note these times as we do not have staffing outside of these hours.
Winter is here
Winter gear needed
Each day our scholars go outside for recess, please be sure your scholar has all their winter gear with them each day and all clothing items are labeled for easy recovery.
If you need assistance with providing winter gear items, please contact Ms. Jaunita: 763 502 5232
Classroom Connection
Balloon Blast
After reading the book 'Balloons Over Broadway', Ms. Fischer's 2nd grade class were thinkers creating their own balloons over a city scape in their classroom!
Reading Rock Stars
Mrs. Jacobson is meeting with a kindergarten small group to read one of our new Geodes books. "The Fabric of the Andes" shows how a Peruvian family uses the wool from their alpaca to make fabric. The students love talking about what they see in the pictures!
Spanish Speakers
Being an IB World school, our scholars learn Spanish with Profe Swanson. Learning another language in elementary school greatly helps with literacy in English, it enhances problem solving, attentional control, the ability to switch tasks easily and much more.
From Nutritional Services
Nutritional Services provides one free breakfast and lunch to all students regardless of meal status. To receive a meal at no charge, the student must take a complete meal including at least ½ cup fruit or vegetables. Students cannot just come and get a milk; they must have at least three items on their lunch tray. We encourage all students to come and try a meal with us. We offer a variety of student favorites including hamburger on bun, pizza and spaghetti with meatballs. We are continuing to expand the cultural dishes we offer, so please check out the monthly menu. Nutritional Services does not serve any pork products on the menus.
Please check your child's lunch account for any outstanding balances from the 2022-23 school year. These balances need to be paid, if you have any questions, please contact Kathy Backstrom at 763-502-5021 or Renee Arbogast at 763-502-5022.
Thank you,
Renee
