Shew's News
June 5, 2020 Weekly e-Newsletter
Principal's Post
Dear Rainiers,
I look forward to seeing every family next week to gather their child’s belongings and return borrowed items. You will find detailed information for this protocol within this newsletter.
Report Cards will be mailed home after the last day of school for students who do not have missing textbooks or unreturned Chromebooks.
This is our final newsletter to conclude the 2019-2020 school year. As information becomes available regarding plans for the 2020-2021 school year, communication will be released through our social media platforms and email.
Thank you for a wonderful and productive school year during this time of uncertainty. I can’t thank everyone enough for your endless hours of volunteering, chaperoning, reading, organizing, donating and doing whatever was necessary to support students—both at home and at school.
Enjoy the summer sun and have a happy summer break.
Sincerely,
Allison Shew
Principal
Eatonville Family Agency Summer Food Program
Eatonville Family Agency will be open a minimum of 2 days a week during the summer (Monday and Thursday); additional days may be added.
Families are welcome to come in twice a month for food here on site at EFA. If they are needing more than the 2x month policy, they just need to come in and we will always do what we can to give them all we can to help.
Monthly trips to Ashford with food for families that sign up are scheduled for 6/25, 7/23, 8/20 1-2pm at the Ashford Fire Station. Dates are tentative depending on volunteer availability. If your family would like to participate, please call 360-832-6805, and leave your name, phone number, and that you would like to be part of our Ashford food delivery.
Picking Up Belongings & Returning School Items
Families will have the opportunity to gather their child's belongings next month. During this time students will be able to take home gym shoes, school supplies, school work, artwork, etc. In addition, supplies students need to return will be collected including library books, textbooks and other school equipment checked out to students prior to the closure.
Upon arrival you will remain in your vehicle. You will drive up near the front entry and will be greeted by a staff member. Please inform the staff member the names/grades of the students you need to collect items for. If you have an item to return to the school such as a textbook, library book or gym equipment please hand those items off to the staff member working with you. They will ensure the items are delivered to the proper location.
We are in need of gym shoes. If you would like to donate your child's gym shoes to the school, please alert the staff member greeting you.
All five Eatonville School District schools will be open on the following dates and time frames based on the student’s last name:
