Frenchtown is very fortunate to have a full-time Assistant Principal for the 2023-2024 school year. Ms. Molloy will join the Middlebrook staff full time and below I have included the press release from Dr. Semmel introducing Dr. Randi Petersen. We are excited to have her join the Frenchtown Community.
Dr. Martin J. Semmel, Superintendent of Schools, is pleased to announce that Dr. Randi Petersen has been appointed to the position of Frenchtown Elementary School Assistant Principal starting August 14, 2023.

From the Desk Of Nurse Kim
Dear Frenchtown Parent/Guardian,
I hope that you and your family are having an enjoyable summer! In preparation for the start of the 2023-24 school year, I wanted to send a quick reminder that medications and subsequent forms need to be renewed each school year. If you have not seen your child’s provider to have these forms completed, please call them as soon as possible to schedule an appointment or make arrangements to collect the completed form(s).
Medication drop-off will be by appointment only. Appointments are available on 8/24-25 and 8/28. Medication must be dropped off directly to me; I cannot accept medication brought to me by a student or their teacher. Please click here to make an appointment: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/u/0/selfsched?sstoken=UUcwVGlzb2t0bFhWfGRlZmF1bHR8NTU3YTA5NDg5OWFiZDVjODM1NTk3NDNmMjU1NjE0ZDQ If you are unable to make an appointment, please contact me via email so we can discuss other available times.
The health and safety of every student at Frenchtown is my top priority. If your child no longer needs rescue medications at school, please contact your child’s provider and ask for written documentation, then submit it to me so I can update your child’s record. Without submitting this documentation or the rescue medication, your child will not be able to attend field trips during the school year.
These reminders are to help ensure a smooth transition back to school for your child. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. I hope you enjoy the rest of the summer!
Best,
Nurse Kim

Volunteering in School
As we move closer to the fall, please take the time to fill out the TPS volunteer form for the 2023-2024 school year. All individuals seeking to volunteer in the Trumbull Public Schools must fill out and sign this “School Volunteer Security Check” form prior to beginning volunteering. The form must be completed annually. No person whose name is listed on the Department of Children and Families (DCF) Child Abuse and Neglect Registry or who is registered as a sex offender under state or federal law may volunteer in any District schools. Failure to provide complete or accurate information on this “School Volunteer Security Check” form will disqualify an individual from volunteering in any District school. A volunteer is defined as an individual, other than an employee, who works with the students at any of the Trumbull Public Schools.
If you plan on volunteering, please fill out this form. Please keep in mind, every cell of this form needs a response in order to be processed. If a cell does not apply to you, please indicate N/A. We thank you in advance for volunteering! 😊
