Free Statewide (virtual) Tutoring Available

Californian’s can now access free online tutoring available 24/7 through a new initiative offering homework help in every K-12 subject and skill-building resources for adult learners.

August 15th marked the beginning of Latin Heritage Month. Here are some fun titles that you may want to read with your child:

Also, we have some Latin authors featured on our school signage in the entryway of MES. Take a minute and read about books and authors that celebrate Hispanic and Latinx heritage.

Please call our attendance hotline to report your child’s absence @ 760-934-7162. If your child’s absence is not reported, it is considered truant.

Come show your school spirit by joining ASB, which stands for Associated Student Body. ASB members help plan fun school days like Wacky Hair Day! We will be having our first ASB Meeting on Wednesday, October 12 from 2:40 - 3:30 in the first grade common area. ASB is for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students. Please talk to Mrs. Turner or Señora Mendez if you are interested in joining.

PTO is looking for parents, guardians, and community members to teach some after school classes. Please look at the Sign Up Genius and see which dates work for you. You can use your own idea for a class, or a craft kit can be provided for you. PTO is looking for Husky Pup Fun Run volunteers. Please reach out to: mammothpto@gmail.com if interested.

Students, lace up those shoes and come to the MES field every morning before school from 7:30-7:55 for some exercise before school! Earn tickets for every lap and remember to bring them back each Friday to turn them in for collectible charms. Regular exercise before school increases attentiveness and positive behavior in the classroom!
