Did You Know?
The Curriculum and TaC (Training and Consultation) teams are gearing up for 2023-2024 SY! To best support your district, we would love to hear from you! Please take a moment to complete the Needs Assessment for the upcoming year. We plan to provide you with a menu of trainings this Spring!
To support school entities with meeting Dual Enrollment requirements and to increase access to dual credit coursework statewide, the PDE Division of Instructional Quality will award up to $6.5 million in state funds to eligible school entities through a competitive grant process to create or expand dual credit programs that meet the guidelines listed in the attached RFA.
Eligible proposals will focus on addressing the goal of the Dual Credit grant which is to create or expand equitable and innovative dual credit opportunities for all secondary school students, all students enrolled in the school entity, including students experiencing educational instability, students enrolled in career and technical education programs, low-income students, and historically underserved student groups.

PVAAS
Roster verification is a process used to provide PVAAS teacher-specific reporting based on accurate data. This process is for teachers and administrators to document and verify that each student is linked accurately to one or more teachers – for the correct state assessment(s) and the appropriate proportion of instructional responsibility.
Three separate webinars will be offered in winter and spring 2023 for focused learning and support of the different parts of roster verification. Registration links can be found on the PDE PVAAS roster verification page.
Looking at Recovery Data in PVAAS
There is a free e-resource available to LEAs and schools that explains how to explore the impact of unfinished teaching and learning as well as recovery trends within the PVAAS web application. This e-resource goes through key reports, step-by-step instructions to view them, and guiding questions to consider when looking at the data.
