This Week in TK
The school celebrations and learning adventures continued in TK this week! On Monday, we celebrated the graduating Thunderbird Seniors when they returned to school to parade through school and inspire us to be amazing students. On Tuesday, we got up-close-and-personal with BEBOT, Tahoe's Beach Cleaning Robot from EcoClean Solutions. We even all had a turn to drive the robot. On Wednesday, we practiced our super high-energy Dance Fest dance, and we can't wait to share the barnyard fun with you all. On Thursday, we played alphabet name targets with water balloon for water day. On Friday, we celebrated the "Complex Letter Xx" with eXercise fun.
Looking into next week, we are excited for you to join us for the Tahoe Valley Dancefest on Tuesday, June 18th. The dancing will begin at 9:30am on the back blacktop. Parking will be available on the lower blacktop. Family picnic will follow, please plan to spend the morning here with your child. For our dance we would like each child to wear their magenta Tahoe Valley Shirts from Walk-a-Thon. If you shirt is unavailable, please wear a white shirt. If you have not yet sent in your juice box donations for the family picnic please send them in on Monday morning.
Get ready for a strong, crazy, and fun-filled last week in TK!
This Week in Kindergarten
This week we got a visit from Tahoe Valley alumni who are now graduating from STHS. Each senior was paired with a kindergarten buddy who guided them through the hallways to thundering applause from the other students. We are gearing up for a fun final week with Field Day on Monday, the Dance Fest and Family Picnic on Tuesday and the final day of Kindergarten on Thursday. Thanks for a great year and have a wonderful summer!
This Week in 1st Grade
Our first grade team is wishing all of you a wonderful summer!
We look forward to seeing you next school year!
Tahoe Valley First Grade Team
This Week in 2nd Grade
The Second Grade team really enjoyed seeing all of the parents for Open House on Thursday night, thanks for coming by. Our students had a great time on their Meeks Bay field trip last Friday. We are looking forward to our swim center trip today as well as Field Day and the Dance festival next week. Please be sure to send your child to school with a water bottle during these warm days and thanks for a wonderful year!
This Week in 3rd Grade
We had a very busy week in third grade. We went on our field trip to Sugar Pine Point and we ended the week with "Camp Day". Below are a few things to be aware of.
-All third-graders need to return their chrome-book, charger, and case to school before the last day. Thank you to all the students that have already done this.
-The schoolwide BBQ is Tuesday at 11:00 am. If possible, third graders were asked to bring a bag of chips to be shared at the pot luck. Families are invited to come and join in the fun.
-Tuesday is also our Dance Festival at 9:30 am. For our dance it would be great if all students had a ball cap to wear, as our song is "Take Me Out to the Ball Game". Sport shirts are encouraged as well. We look forward to seeing you as the kids have been working hard to learn our routine.
This Week in 4th Grade
This week we finished reading “By the Great Horned Spoon!” and followed up by watching the movie. We explored math concepts outside and had our last reading groups of the year. We also practiced our dance for the Dance Fest, and are excited to perform it for parents next Tuesday.
Have a great summer!
