Copper Beech Parent Update

Dear Families,

This week was an excellent week for our students. I continue to be so impressed with the ways in which your children work hard and follow our rules and expectations. I was so happy to see the smiles on our kindergarten students as they learned about fire safety and prevention with the Glenside Weldon Fire Company. Thank you to our kindergarten teachers for organizing this special event for our students. In addition, we spotted our students doing their best in our third and fifth grade, using our new math program. I am always impressed with all our students do to work hard and follow our expectations each day at Copper Beech!

• 🦇Halloween Parade🦇- More information to come ! Our Halloween parade will be held on Tuesday, October 31st at 9:15 AM. Parent letters will be sent via Skyward. Classroom activities will be held in the afternoon beginning, respectively, at 2:00 PM. All afternoon activities must conclude by 2:45 PM.
  
• Family Support Resource for Illustrative Mathematics- Here is a link to resources for K-5 parents for Illustrative Mathematics. Each unit contains a support video and letter to help you better understand what your child is working on throughout the unit. Please reference this at the start of each unit to answer any questions you may have.

• The October 2023 School Counselor newsletter can be found here.

• Donations Needed- Please donate new, unused socks if you are able, to help support The Breathing Room. The collection basket is in the mail room. If there are any questions, please see Sheri Gerson. Socks will be collected through the month of October.

• October is National Bullying Prevention Month and National Disability Employment Awareness Month.
