This Week at Windsor...
#WEAREWINDSOR
November 11th, 2022
Windsor Families,
Happy Veterans Day, thank you to all Veterans for your service! Our Veterans Day breakfast was a huge success, it was so wonderful to be back in person for this fantastic event! Thank you to all of the volunteers who put it together.
Check out the video from today's breakfast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVnpwKexnlQ
Next week is spirit week at Windsor, be sure to check out the week's schedule below.
With report card time right around the corner, please know that we review attendance. You may receive a truancy letter regarding your child's attendance. We know that illnesses, appointments, and vacations happen throughout the year; however, days quickly add up without realizing the impact they have on your child's education. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.
There are families in our community that can use a little extra help during the holiday season. Please contact me if your family is one that would benefit from this assistance. This is meant to be “a hand up, not a hand out”. The staff is collecting gift cards to various local stores. These gift cards will be distributed amongst the families that reply. Please contact my confidential voicemail or email by November 30th if you are interested or if you have any questions.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mrs. Anastacio and Mrs. Soprano

Staff Spotlight:
Jennifer Palmer
Hello! My name is Jennifer Palmer and I am one of the kindergarten instructional teachers at Windsor. This is my tenth year at Windsor and my thirteenth year teaching. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education (LBS1) from Illinois State University and a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with a certificate in Autism from Ball State University. I am currently working towards sitting for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) exam.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family (especially my new niece, Abby!) and friends. On the weekends you can find me working part time at a restaurant in Lakeview across from Wrigley Field (even though I am a Sox fan!), volunteering at the Misericordia home or walking on the 606 trail in my Chicago neighborhood.
Arley Rabinowitz
My name is Arley Rabinowitz and I am one of the 4th grade instructional teachers at Windsor. I have been an instructional teacher at Windsor for 10 years and I learn something new every day! I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University (Go Hoosiers!), Master’s Degree in Special Education (LBS1) from Northeastern Illinois, and an endorsement in physical education from Chicago State University. Outside of school, I love being with my family and friends, working out, and eating at restaurants. I have two daughters named Brooke (5) and Tatum (3), a husband named Dave and a Bernedoodle named Hoosier. I feel so lucky to work at Windsor…Go Wildcats!
Stella's Station
Happy Veteran’s Day to all those who have served our country. In honor of this important day, I have a Veteran’s Day STEM card activity to share with everyone. These activities are similar to the ones that students complete at school, but with a Veteran’s Day twist. You can find the activities by clicking on this link.
I hope you have a great weekend! ~Mrs. Stella
