30 Regional Elementary Curriculum Showcase

This year’s STEM Fair and Art Show is quickly approaching! As in past years, we are especially looking forward to having students of all ages showcase their work through projects. All students K-12 are invited to submit a project on a topic of their choice. This year, we will be asking all 3rd - 12th grade students to submit and present their project digitally, via a Google Slides presentation. Students will still present their work in person at the STEM Fair, but this new digital format will make it easy for students to enter the Discovery Regional Science Fair, if they choose to do so. In order to allow for maximum accessibility and ease our transition to a digital submission format, students K-2 will have the option to submit a trifold or a digital project.

The deadline to register a project is Thursday, January 25th at 3pm. Due to planning needs and space constraints, late submissions will not be accepted. Please note: projects do not need to be completed by January 25th, but the topic needs to be chosen.

Dismissal is a busy time at BLE with many moving pieces. To ensure we have time to prepare and get students home safely, office phones are forwarded to voicemail after 3:00 pm. Please call before 3:00 pm with any transportation changes for your child. If you need to call after 3:00 pm for any reason, please leave a message and we will get back to you.

We can not dismiss students from the office after 3:30. We ask that you either use the car pick up loop or park in the parking lot and walk up to quickly pick your child up after dismissal at 3:45. You will be asked for your child's Silent Dismissal number to have them sent out for pick up.

We are always happy to accommodate your transportation changes with prior notice. If you have any questions please contact Ann Johnson in the main office.

Please join us for our Regional Elementary Curriculum Showcase*

When: Tuesday, January 30, 2024

Time: 5:30-7:00 PM

This district event will feature:

• Our Elementary core curriculum in Language Arts, Math, and Social Emotional Learning for each grade level as well as intervention materials and additional curriculum used to support multilingual students and students in Special Education.

• An opportunity to view our 5th grade Human Growth and Development (puberty) and HIV Videos

• Opt out forms for current 5th grade students will be available after viewing the videos.

• Meet and talk with some of our Bonney Lake Elementary staff as well as teachers in nearby SBLSD schools.

• Obtain information about 2024-25 Kindergarten Registration and programs like READY for Kindergarten.

• Visit resource tables hosted by elementary specialists in PE, Music, and STEM.

• Light refreshments available

• Spanish, Russian, and Ukrainian Interpreters will be available
