LSC has partnered with the Sumter School District this year for all food service needs on June 5th, we will be transitioning to the Seamless Summer Option Feeding Program. Scholars will still have access to a nutritious balanced breakfast and lunch. There will only be one option similar to our Friday meal options and all meals will be free for all scholars. The menu options are subject to change based on inventory.

Advanced MMA Saturday Enrichment Camp - June 10 from 8-11 am

Join Coach Smith and Jason Copell of the Sumter Fire Department, a local Blackbelt MMA Instructor, for a 3-hour advanced MMA camp at LSC on June 10 from 8-11 am. Scholars will take the basic skills learned through the regular MMA rotations completed during PE at LSC to the next level. Shout out to the parents who have signed up their scholar to participate in the summer reading challenge. There is still time left! Stop by the local library branch with your scholar and get the tote bag! Send your scholar’s picture to pictures@libertysteamcharter.org.

The 22-23 school year is coming to an end, and I am blessed to have had the opportunity to care for your scholars this year! I encourage everyone to have a safe and relaxing summer filled with wonderful memories. I have made so many lasting memories with our scholars at the Primary Academy and looking forward to the fun times that will be had while we learn at the founding LSC Elementary School!

Please keep scholars' home if they have had a fever within the last 24hrs and required fever reducing medication, any vomiting or new onset/worsening cough. Reminder, Nurse Katy’s lost and found is overflowing! I have a lot of items that are not Liberty uniform items and a few Liberty jackets/hoodies. Please email Nurse Katy at kardis@libertysteamcharter.org with a description of your scholar’s jacket and if it’s a Liberty item color/size of item.
