Important Reminder
COVID symptoms or close contact? Please stay home.
Dear District 41 Families,
As we prepare to have all of our blended students back in our schools tomorrow, we want to send a very important reminder. If you have a COVID positive case in your immediate family or within a group that you or your children are close contacts with, please do not send them to school tomorrow. If one of your children is symptomatic, please do not send them to school tomorrow nor siblings. Our school nurses can serve as a resource to you and guide you through the exclusionary requirements and next steps.
We ask that all of you take this extremely seriously. If you are unsure as to whether you should send your child to school, please do not send them until you speak with the nurse. We know that is not easy for families to manage but it is the only way to keep in-school transmissions down. If we have an outbreak (cases that are connected to in-school transmission) we will have to take an Adaptive Pause and return to remote learning. That could happen at a grade level, a school or across the entire district.
With community transmission being in the substantial range, now is not the time to take any unnecessary chances.
