LATE START MONDAY: Classes begin at 10AM

A Message from Mrs. Cole

We had a great four days of 100% in person learning! I wish I could have videoed their sweet faces in the lunchroom on Tuesday when they were seeing all of their friends/classmates in one space for the first time in a long time. Seeing the joy on their faces and the excitement in their voices made my heart smile! It was quite a buzz in that space, but with only one grade level at a time, was still very pleasant.

Things that went well this week:

*Drop off/pick up went smoothly. Thank you for following the signs and ensuring your student is ready to go as they get out of their car.

*New lunch/recess schedule worked great!

*Students got to enjoy the entire playground with their friends on Thursday and Friday!

*Kindergarteners ate in the lunchroom for the very first time!

Things that we are improving going into next week:

*Always working to improve the pace of our parent pick up

*Bus lines are back outside due to the safer temperatures and that helps with the large number of students who take the bus home in the afternoon

This coming week we start our parent/teacher conferences on Thursday. I will send an email home on Wednesday with the conference links for you as well. We look forward to sharing about the growth your student has made and the goals they have for our last trimester.

Tomorrow you can watch for trimester two progress reports to come to your email after 4pm.

Parent Satisfaction Survey

Urbandale Community School District is on a continuous journey to make our schools the best places for students to learn, staff to work, and parents to send their children for a good education. In this effort, we appreciate your support. It is important to gather feedback from you to celebrate successes and identify areas for growth. Please take a few minutes and complete this Parent Satisfaction Survey to help provide this feedback. The survey is open from today, February 8 through Thursday (4:00) March 11, 2021.

Once the survey is complete, the results will be analyzed by an outside organization. The data from the survey will be sent to each school and the Superintendent. Then, the results of the survey will be shared with parents and the community.
