Straight from the Hardt
Hello Ridgeline Families-- The first full week has gone very well and students are settling nicely into their routine. I’ve said it before, but it’s worth saying again—we have great students here, and they are a joy to be around! From where we were in the spring with staffing reductions and budget restrictions, we’ve come a long way as a district, in a relatively short period of time. From a fiscal standpoint, we have made great strides to ensure a healthy and secure position for student programs, staffing needs, and general costs to run schools. What I’m saying is—we’re good. And the future looks good as well. From a personal standpoint, I appreciate the support from our families and greater community, and for your belief in the culture we’re building together for Ridgeline High School.
If you’re new to the Ridgeline experience, or you just haven’t had a chance to connect on campus—tonight is a great night to make that happen! Ridgeline Boosters have organized a fantastic tailgate experience for all football fans attending our game tonight against Mead. Food trucks, friends, and fun—what more could you ask for on what looks to be a beautiful night. Which reminds me… our stadiums have some of the most epic sunset views, so you won’t want to miss that either! So in addition to tailgating and hard-nosed football, tonight will be the first public performance this year by the Ridgeline Regiment (marching band, drumline, color guard)! This is a sneak peek into their soon to be award winning production of “More To Me”. The “I” in our mission is inspiration, and if you enjoy awesome music tied to an underdog/comeback story, you’ll love tonight’s halftime show! Come join us!
If you are a parent that drops off and picks up your student, please see the map directly below. Some highlights to point out: #1- for after school-- if everyone pulls forward in the valet line consistently it will keep traffic moving more steadily with less wasted space in the valet line. The goal is to move forward as far as possible as soon as you can. NOTE: the valet line extends beyond the main crosswalk to the front entrance.
Please pull forward past the crosswalk to allow more cars in behind you. Don’t get too comfortable picking up your student in the exact same spot every day, keep pulling forward and they’ll find you. #2—please note the yellow highlighted areas where there is NO Parking or Waiting for pick up. #3—another recommendation would be to arrive at 2:25. You’ll find it much more open and smoother by then.
Every edition of the Falcon Flyer contains important information and school highlights. The best way to stay in-the-know is to skim the Flyer every week.
Make it a great weekend! –Mr. Hardt
