Student Hunger Drive - It's on!
This year, National Honor Society is leading NSHS's participation in the River Bend Food Bank's Student Hunger Drive. Due to storage issues, we are focusing our efforts on financial donations instead of can donations. Please consider donating on our Hunger Drive website today!
Donations will be accepted through Monday, Nov. 6. DONATE HERE!

Trap Shooting Camp
Here's your chance to see what trap shooting is all about, try it out, and have some fun!

Interested in career exploration?
Whether you are planning on college, a technical school, or you're just not sure yet, the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) Career Exploration Program can put you on the right path towards a satisfying career. Understanding your skills, abilities, interests, and strengths will help you make the best decisions about your future.
The ASVAB will be administered at the high school on Thursday, Oct. 19 in the Media Center. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors may participate.

Free & Reduced Meal Applications
If you were eligible for free & reduced meals last school year (2022-2023), please do not pay any textbook & rental fees at this time. To apply for free & reduced meals for the 2023-2024 school year, please complete this paper packet or electronically through the Infinite Campus parent portal. Once logged in, click "More" and then "Meal Benefits" to begin the application process online.
It's Science Fair time!
All high school students and their caregivers interested in participating in Science Fairs this school year, please join us for a short orientation at 5 pm on Thursday, Sept. 21 in the high school media center.
If you cannot attend orientation but want to be involved, please stop in C10 to talk to Ms. Sambdman (jennifer.sambdman@northscott.org) or C11 to talk to Mr. Hunter (jacob.hunter@northscott.org).

Fall On Track College Planning Week
ICAN and Iowa College Aid are kicking off the new academic year with Fall On Track College Planning Week - a week of virtual events to help families plan. Each evening will highlight specific steps for one grade level, beginning with Seniors on Monday night.
ICAN is bringing together colleges and universities, as well as school counselors and current college students to have panel discussions organized by grade-level. Iowa Quad Cities College Program (IQCCP) Fair
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with admissions representatives and learn more about admissions requirements, financial aid, course offerings, and campus life.
