Chatham Elementary School Family Update

May 27, 2022

Dear CES Families and Friends:

Our SHARKS have been taking their learning on the road this week with field trips to Roger William Zoo, the Wellfleet Nature Center, and the Marconi Maritime Center. We have several more trips planned in the coming weeks. Please check the "Coming Soon to CES" section of the newsletter for more important dates.

Field Day is coming very soon - Thursday, June 9th! We have a lot in store for our SHARKS and are in need of parent volunteers to assist classroom teachers as classes move from station to station throughout the day. If you are interested in volunteering please email your child's classroom teacher ASAP. Remember, all volunteers must have a current CORI on file.

Finally, as we head into the holiday weekend, I would like to share my deepest appreciation for the CES community. Chatham Elementary School is a very special place where children are safe to learn and grow. Thank you for sharing your most precious gift, these amazing children, with us and supporting our work.

Bus Registration for 2022-2023

There are no distancing or masking requirements in place, and we encourage families to use the bus to transport their students for the 2022-2023 school year.

Click here to log into your family Aspen account, and select 'Start a new Bus Verification.' Please note that you must complete the form for each student. This will help us make sure we have the right number of buses, on the right routes, with the right stops!

Session II Ending Soon

The American Sign Language Club will no longer be meeting.

The last meeting for all Tuesday Clubs (Creative Art, Readers & Makers, Geography, and Gardening) is May 31st.

The last meeting for Chorus is June 1st.

The last meeting for Math Games is June 2nd.

Monomoy Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC)

If you have child(ren) receiving special education services or want information about special education, check out the Monomoy SEPAC website and Facebook page for meeting and event information. WIC for Families

WIC is a nutrition program that provides nutrition and health education, healthy food, and other services free of charge to Massachusetts families who qualify. WIC is for all kinds of families: married and single parents, working or not working. If you are a father, mother, grandparent, foster parent, or another legal guardian of a child under 5, you can apply for WIC for your child.
