Hello Northpoint Families!
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! Our team at Northpoint has been busy preparing for students to arrive in 12 short days! Huge shout out to our custodial team who have been working tirelessly all summer to get our building in pristine shape! Over the past week or two, we have had a steady stream of teachers coming in to get their rooms ready for the school year.
This week has been an exciting one! We welcomed all our new staff to the district and to Northpoint. On Tuesday, we kicked off our Kinder Camp. We welcomed our youngest learners to the building and gave them their first taste of Kindergarten. It was so great to see so many smiling faces in the building!
We are excited to welcome the following new staff to Northpoint this year.

We are looking forward to welcoming all our students and families to Northpoint at our Meet and Greet next week. There are two different times on Wednesday, August 30 for families to come in and meet their teachers. Come in 1-2 p.m. or 4-6 p.m.

Get Ready to "Start Your Engines!"
The 2nd Annual "Start Your Engines" Big Trucks, Food Trucks & Automobiles event is Saturday, September 16 from 11 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. at Spring Lake Park High School.
This family/community event will feature a variety of exhibits with engines – think big trucks, automobiles, and recreational vehicles. Lunch from the food trucks will be available for purchase. The event is free to attend and no registration is required - just show up!

- Mik Mart (Ice Cream)
Other event features:
- Panther Store Pop-Up Sale
- We are accepting bike donations for Bikes4Kids
- There will be a booth that showcases all of our Community Education fall offerings for youth, families, and adults. Make sure to stop by and sign up!
Fall programs available for all!
The start of a new school year brings new and exciting fall Community Education programming options for the entire family! As we kick off the new year, now is the perfect time to explore interests, discover passions, learn a new skill and connect with others within our Panther community. Registration is officially open. Browse and register for a variety of enrichment and learning youth, adult and family opportunities.
- Thursday, August 24 - Native American Parent Advisory Committee: Back-to-school event, Woodcrest Spanish Immersion playground, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, August 30 - Northpoint Meet and Greet 1-2pm; 4-6pm
- Tuesday, September 5 - First day of school for grades K-8 and Lighthouse students, orientation for grade 9 students and grade 10-12 students new to the high school
- Wednesday, September 6 - First day of school for returning grades 10-12 students who are not new to the high school
- Thursday, September 15 - Native American Parent Advisory Committee event, Woodcrest Spanish Immersion, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
- Saturday, September 16 - Start Your Engines - Community Outdoor Event, Spring Lake Park High School, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
- Monday, September 18 - Grupo de Padres Hispanohablantes de SLP reunión, Woodcrest Spanish Immersion, 5-6:30 p.m.
