Preschool Recruitment
Do you know families who have or will have children between 3 & 4 years of age for the 2024-2025 school year? Be sure to send them our number 765-827-0191 Ext. 1. We can discuss program options and/or schedule a visit. LSP is an amazing facility for young learners! ....Families can also complete our 2024-2025 interest form HERE.
2 Hour Delays and Closings
If the Fayette County School Corporation (FCSC) delays, there will be NO AM preschool sessions. Full day Head Start students will be picked up on the bus two hours later than their normal morning pick-up time. Full day Head Start students can be dropped off at 9:50a.m. if they do not ride the bus. Ms. Billie's full day classroom can also be dropped off at 9:50a.m. like normal and class will begin at 10:00a.m. If FCSC were to close, then there will be NO PRESCHOOL sessions for the day.
Recess/Outdoor Learning
Please be sure to send students with a coat, hat, and gloves. We will be going outside for recess and/or outdoor learning as long as the temperature is above freezing.
Safety, Safety, Safety
Don't be alarmed if you notice police presence at LSP! The Connersville Police Department and the Fayette County Sherriff's Department regularly visit to make sure our students and staff are safe. If there ever is an emergency, families will be notified via Powerschool Messenger, ClassDojo, and Social Media (Facebook/Twitter). If your phone number changes for any reason, please notify the office so we can update our system!
Bookmobile/Fayette County Public Library
This year we have partnered with the Fayette County Public Library. The bookmobile will be visiting LSP on Thursday, February 8th and Thursday, February 22nd. The Fayette County Public Library will also be reading and doing crafts with our classrooms......Did you know Fayette County Public Library has family events? Be sure to check out their calendar HERE.
Food Pantry/Clothing Closet Donations
The Food Pantry and Clothing Closet at LSP is open to the public 1-2 times per month. The next openings will be Thursday, February 8th and Thursday, February 22nd, 4:00-6:00pm. We are currently taking donations of gently used clothing for our closet. If you would like to donate, please drop off clothing in the office, M-F, 7:30am-4:00pm.

Healthy Bodies and Minds
Did you know 3-5 year olds need 10-13 hours of sleep each night? Many families struggle with establishing an effective bedtime routine. Sesame Workshop has a wide variety of videos and activities to help children develop healthy bodies and minds. CLICK HERE to view the website with conversation starters and videos. In the video below, Elmo shares his bedtime routine and what helps him fall to sleep.
Front Door Security
Safety is always our number one priority! In order to keep our front lobby more secure, the front doors will ONLY be unlocked from 7:50-8:15a.m. A buzzer/intercom system has been installed on the right hand side of the front doors. If the front doors are locked, just push the green button and someone from the office will be right with you. The left door will then be unlocked so you can enter the lobby.
Safety Protocol
Sick Procedure
Contagious rashes and other cold like symptoms are also in peak season. LSP is working diligently to make sure extra sanitation and safety precautions are taking place. Please review the sick procedure below. If you have any questions, please give us a call.
Head Lice
-If live lice are found on a student, then that student will be sent home. The student may not return until the nurse confirms there are no more live lice.
-The Fayette County Health Department does give away lice treatment for FREE. This could be a resource for families.
