A Note From the Principal
Good Morning River Hawk Families,
It is hard to believe that our school year is coming to an end with only 3 days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) left! While nothing is ever perfect, it has been a pretty incredible year! Wednesday is our typical Early Release and please remember that Thursday, June 1st is a minimum day for all students with dismissal at 12:05 p.m. and is the LAST day of school.
On Tuesday, May 30th we have yearbook distribution during the last period of the day! If your student pre-ordered a yearbook, you received an email on Friday at 4 p.m. If your student did not pre-order a yearbook, we will accept CASH ONLY for $52 first come, first served beginning Tuesday, May 30th at 2 p.m., until we sell out. While we have quite a number available, we cannot guarantee how long they'll be available.
Parents, please partner with us in having a conversation with your student about yearbook signing. Whether they have a book or are just signing their friends' yearbook, talk to your student about the importance of writing positive, respectful messages. We want everyone to have a wonderful collection of positive memories in their book!
We are still in need of chaperones and water bottles for the 8th grade dance, so please check out the Sign-up Genius below if you can help us out. It is appreciated!
Finally, as we enjoy an extra day for this three day weekend, may we all share a moment being grateful to all who have given their life to protect our country and our freedoms! To those of you serving our nation, the Rio Norte staff thanks you!
