Chromebook FIX IT Day
Is your Chromebook not working properly? Cracked screen, camera not working, not connecting to the internet, other issues? Come to our FIX IT Day. IT staff will be on site to take a look at your Chromebooks and help problem solve your issues.

5th Grade Band Demo Concert at BHS
5th graders going to the band demo concert should meet at the BHS flagpole at 12:50 and should be picked up from the flagpole at 1:50pm.
Winter Kickball at Vista View
Get your body up and moving! Kickball is one of the more requested sports activities. Come work on your spirit of competition in a friendly environment, while burning off some after-school energy. Participants will learn sportsmanship and respect for others, gain self-confidence, and work on coordination, spatial awareness, and get a great cardio workout too.
Eight sessions/$40 ****30 student cap ****16 student minimum

Nicollet Middle School Musical
Are you interested in participating in the Nicollet Middle School all school musical? Now is your chance to take part as a member of the cast, crew, or as a leader. Come to the informational meeting during advisory (7:50 - 8:10) next Wednesday January 3rd in the choir room. It's okay if you can't make the meeting, you can still participate!
The show this year is Disney's Finding Nemo Jr. , which is a musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo. The musical tells the story of Marlin and Dory as they search to find Nemo. The show brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship and adventure.
Auditions will be held after Winter Break on Monday. Jan 8th, Tues. Jan 9th and callbacks, if necessary on Wed. January 10th. All audition materials and forms for cast, and crew will be available after the informational meeting on Wednesday January 3rd during advisory in the choir room.

Semester 2 Schedules
It is time to start thinking about your second semester schedule. Please log-into Synergy/StudentVue and review your semester two schedule and verify if it meets your needs and interests. If you are missing classes or are interested in making a schedule change, please contact your counselor, Mrs. Akerson, at rakerson@isd191.org. If you are interested in researching available courses, check out the course catalog. Remember, you should be taking at least 6 courses per semester.
Semester two begins on January 23rd. If you have not completed your semester 2 schedules by January 15th, Mrs. Akerson will be glad to complete them for you.
Attention Seniors
Seniors, check out the events below happening at BHS. If you plan to attend college next year, I encourage you to attend the Financial Aid Night and FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) completion events. If you are unfamiliar with financial aid or the FAFSA, these events are essential.

Youth Service Credit Now Available
If you have completed at least 40 hours of documented volunteer service as confirmed in INNERVIEW, please consider applying for the 2023-24 Fall Youth Service Credit this is an extra elective credit that will be added to your transcript. Applications are due by 12:00 noon on Friday January 12th.

1. PALS afterschool K-5 help Do you have a knack for little ones, would you like to help tutor and mentor youth K -5 within our district? PALS is the program for you. Starting January 3rd, PALS will meet every Tuesday and Wednesday (you can decide on 1 or both days each week) unless school is released due to weather from 4:00p to 6:00p. PALS is currently held at: Hidden Valley, Harriet Bishop, Edward Neill, Sky Oaks, and Rahn Elementary Schools. PALS will give you valuable insight into the minds of our younger generation. Please contact Allison Jordan at ajordan@isd191.org as soon as possible if interested. Students, teachers, and staff appreciate your support. 2. The Free Book Buggie. Each Saturday will be the Free Book Buggie book sort event from 10a-12p.
